The HR Specialist provides HR program coordination support to the Human Resources department with a primary focus on recruiting and leaves of absence. This is the ideal role for someone who is organized, detail oriented, able to anticipate needs and enjoys being a part of a fun, collaborative team. Prior human resources experience is preferred.


  • Support the recruitment, selection and all pre-employment screening processes for a large independent medical group.  
  • Help maintain job requisitions, job postings, recruitment advertising, candidate sourcing and screening, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Support the Chief Medical Officer with clinician recruiting process.
  • Coordinates FMLA/OFLA leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations. 
  • Assist the HR team with coordination of programs and processes to support internal customers.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to provide a seamless approach to HR support for 500+ resources.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Healthcare Administration or related subject or the equivalent combination of work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in employment, interviewing, recruitment, selection and placement required.  
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices including FMLA/OFLA/ADA/ADEA preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to use Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
