This position will support our Patient Financial Services department on Clinician credentialing and the maintenance of credentialing status.

*This position is a 40 hr/wk, Monday-Friday position at our Admistrative Office in Tigard.  


  • Completes state licensing, insurance provider and medical staff privileges applications for WHA clinicians.
  • Communicates with clinicians, clinician licensing authorities, hospitals and other outside agencies. Protects clinician confidentiality by transmitting information via secure email and fax. Assists in maintaining current credentials by following up on and renewal of clinician's licenses and certificates for expirations. Assists physicians with ABOG Maintenance of Certification.
  • Completes medical malpractice application process for clinicians, assists with the annual renewal processes, maintains relevant files and assists clinicians with attending loss prevention courses.
  • Assists billing departments with resolution of denied claims due to clinician credentialing status.
  • Maintains and updates provider credentialing status using credentialing software.
  • Will provide back up for other department roles as needed. 


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of experience in general office, secretarial or administrative assistant duties required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) at an intermediate level.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • The ability to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated experience with work that requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable in proper English grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, business writing standards for letters, memos and minutes.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to display high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clinicians, guests and vendors.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to demonstrate The Values Statement and The Patient Experience of WHA.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
