Our In-Office Surgery Coordinator educates patients regarding office surgery procedures and serves as a member of the office surgery team by training and developing Medical Assistant members.  In this position you will monitor office surgery supply inventory and ensure office surgery equipment is in working order. You will also act as an advocate for WHA patients and as a liaison between patients and clinicians.

*This is a 40 hrs/wk position working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification from an accredited medical assisting program preferred, or the equivalent combination of classroom training and/or work experience; or graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and a valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of medical charting processes and procedures required.  Prior experience with or the ability to learn electronic medical records software required.
  • At least five years experience in a gynecology medical setting required.
  • Prior experience with or the ability to learn practice management scheduling software required.
  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment modalities required. 
  • Knowledge of gynecology medical terminology and gynecological surgeries and current experience in conscious sedation surgeries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient care assessment skills.
