As our Desktop Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing phone and on-site technical assistance to our employees and clinicians (with a focus on desktop computers, laptops, printers and local area network), as well as maintaining and supporting our onsite IT infrastructure.

 *Hours for this position will be 8:30am-5:00pm. Must be flexible to come in earlier/stay later as needed, as well as being available some weekends.



Responsible for all desktop computers, including maintaining operating system, hardware and local area network.

Resolves network, hardware, phone and software problems in person, via a help desk and by working with a ticket system.

Fields general user computer questions on WHA service desk support line.

Tracks and documents technical issues and communicates results to end users to ensure a high level of customer service.

Shares on-call duties with IT team members.

Oversees small to medium size information technology projects with little supervision.

Documents, communicates and resolves IT related issues (including but not limited to hardware, software, networking, servers and phone systems) from start to finish; researches related questions as needed.

Serves as main point of contact between the IT group and its internal and external customers.

Travels to clinics to support computers and phone equipment.

Responsible for maintaining IT asset inventory.

Maintains relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers. Monitors performance and makes recommendations as needed.



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or the equivalent combination of classroom training and work experience.

Experience maintaining and supporting desktop computers.

Help desk or Microsoft-focused computer experience.

Experience managing small to midsize IT projects from start to finish.

Computer proficiency using Microsoft Windows, Office applications and network applications.

Valid driver's license and the ability to drive between office locations.

Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
